Feel Better Now..

Over 8 million people suffer from some form of anxiety in the UK. Surprisingly, it is a normal part of the human condition, and is actually one of our many survival strategies. Most sufferers just ‘put up’ with it, in the hope that it might go away on its own, and for some it does. For others it lingers for what may feel like an eternity, and can sometimes become chronic, or long lasting becoming an ‘Anxiety Disorder.’ What Is Anxiety? Anxiety is state of emotional and physiological discomfort that can be triggered by a real or perceived threat, often focusing on something that may happen in the future, but not exclusively so. It can also be induced after consuming alcohol, sometimes known as ‘hangxiety’ or drugs such as cocaine, often referred to as ‘cocaine psychosis.’ The rumination (repetitive thinking) of situations that have happened in the past, but not exclusively so, is another common factor. There are several common types of ‘disorder’ ranging from generalised, separation, panic, social and phobias. All can significantly impact the quality of life of sufferers and their families. The discomfort can be a sense of restlessness, overly tired, irritability, quick to temper, unable to concentrate, random pains, headache or muscle ache. A sense of impending doom that nags away at us. Insomnia is another common symptom. Having trouble falling asleep, or staying asleep.
